The Florida Property Insurance Blog was launched in May 2009 to provide a one-stop source for Florida policy holders to obtain information, answers and updates regarding Florida’s Property Insurance industry Property Insurance is a very complex area of the law, and for this reason insurance policies are often so long and detailed that most of us don’t understand them and even more of us never actually read them.

It is my hope that this blog will be a source of education and resource to each and every Florida policy holder to ensure that:

1.The correct policy is obtained;

2.The policy provides proper and adequate coverage;

3.Certain endorsements and exclusions are avoided;

4.Certain key provisions are included;

5.A claim is properly and timely filed;

6.Post loss obligations are satisfied;

7.Assistance is provided throughout the claim process; and

8.Settlement and payment is completed within the allotted timeframe.

With a better understanding of the Insurance Policy and the Claim Process, the Policy Holder will be in a much better position in any type of loss. Furthermore, this blog is full of educational resources to keep up to date with the constant changes taking place in this industry.
